Mother and daughter team launch Skegness wellness centre

A family run Skegness clinic has expanded with new premises in Skegness to create a hub for wellbeing treatments and holistic therapies.

Body and Sole Wellness Centre, based on Algitha Road, opened on January 9th. The business is set to offer services from podiatry and osteopathy to reiki, indian head message as well as other treatments.

Podiatrist, Sarah Mochan, has run Body and Sole for more than 20 years in the town, providing care for people’s feet and associated issues.

Mrs Mochan said: “I’ve built up a wonderful group of loyal customers over the years and they’re constantly asking about additional services.

“I have rented out space in the previous premises, including for a hairdresser and nail technician.

The scope for wellness is very wide and thanks to the expansion, we can push to create a hub for wellness and holistic therapies in the town.”

Amelia Mochan, 29, left her marketing job in Lincoln to become self-employed and re-train in podiatry in 2019.

“It’s daunting leaving a full-time job but I was lucky to have the support of family.

“Having been through

the experience together, Sarah and I wanted to open a centre to support other self-employed people.

“Taking on board feedback from current patients and local people about what services they feel they need, we hope to create a real asset to the community.”

There are already established practitioners set up at Body and Sole but space is available for people looking for clinic or therapy space on a full, or part time basis.
